Grace in Small Things, Part 24

Holy crap. Forgive me Father, I have sinned. It's been 3 months since my last blog post. Hail Marys? Ah, hell no.

Grace is still around and I love spring and summer. If you think Seasonal Affective Disorder isn't real, come hang out with me in the winter. Blah.

1. Having all the doors and windows open and the ceiling fans spinning the fresh air around.
2. A Saturday morning marathon of "The Hills." Dear god, how old am I?
3. Tomatoes are imminent on my tomato plants.
4. Playing t-ball with my little friend next door and Maggie the Poodle. Little Friend would hit the ball and Maggie would chase it down and bring it back.
5. Planting the bargain (uh, almost dead) perennials I bought at the Depot and seeing them come back to life and look lovely!

Grace in Small Things, Part 23

1. I actually went to the YMCA this morning and worked out. I've been a member for three years. I haven't been to the Y in 18 months. At least my membership goes toward a greater good. Right?
2. I also hit the tanning bed this morning, and did not fry my ass like Twenty Four At Heart. I know it's bad for you, but whatever. I need a little color. If the tanning bed doesn't kill me, the diet coke will.
3. NCAA Tournament starts today! March Madness Baby.
4. Went to the State Capital with my fellow members of the Oklahoma Bar and met with my State Senator, Andrew Rice, and I really like him. I'm glad he is there representing me.
5. Tator Tots with cheese from Sonic and a Diet Coke with the good ice. Totally cancelling out my workout. What can I say? Those tots are ef'n good.

Grace in Small Things, part 22

1. I still watch The Real World after all these years. What's wrong with me? Help.
2. Lola the cat is up in one of the small window above the mantel sleeping in the sun. Guess she needs to rest after hacking up her breakfast this morning on the living room rug. The only rug in the house. Why can't you barf on the hardwood or tile, Lola? Why?
3. The T-Bone steaks the fella and I cooked on the grill last night. Accompanied by baked potatoes and roasted asparagus. Damn fine meal.
4. Watching two poodles reach nirvana when they received the discarded T-bones.
5. College Basketball. March Madness here we come. Go Pokes!

Grace in Small Things, Part 21

1. Getting a work out while carrying two huge case files back and forth between county building and courthouse. They should feature that in Shape magazine.
2. Service Dogs. A beautiful young woman who works at the courthouse has a service dog and he graciously pressed the elevator buttons for me while my arms were full of files. Too cool.
3. 85 degreees today.
4. Temperature reguired the top to be down on the Mini.
5. Ribs for dinner from old school rib joint.

Grace in Small Things, Part 20

1. The magic of the DVR.
2. My tuna salad on white bread. It's one of those things that I only trust if I make it myself. I don't like any extraneous stuff in it. Like celery.
3. Having my fabulous tuna sandwich with spicy nacho cheese doritos. Perfection.
4. Philosophy chocolate covered cherry shower gel.
5. Taking Maggie the Poodle for a walk, hearing a meow behind me, finding that Lola the Cat is following us. THREE BLOCKS FROM HOME. Crazy cat. Does anyone else have a cat that goes for walks?

Grace in Small Things, Part 19

1. The Google home page today. Very Seusical.
2. Completely clean house.
3. Had a really good sleep last night. No bad dreams, no racing thoughts and no cat batting lamp cords at 3 am.
4. Slipping a vegetarian dinner in on the fella tonight.
5. My Hello Kitty Lip Glass by Mac. A budget friedly indulgence.

Grace in Small Things, Part 18

I'm going out on a limb and declaring "It's March and I'm going to post Grace in Small Things Every Day Month." Yeah. If I say it, it will be so, right? What is that about the road to hell?

1. Laid back Saturday night at my best girl's house because her man was out of town and her two boys were about to take her over the edge.
2. I love her two boys. And I think they love me too. The oldest was conceived while they were out of town and I was house and dog-sitting for them. She promised she would name they kid after me, then totally reneged after it was revealed that he was a boy. I'm still calling bull shit.
3. Sunday morning movie time with the fella. Today's Movie: In Bruge. I highly fecking recommend.
4. Brisket slow-baking in the oven smelling the bungalow up in a really good way.
5. Enjoying a cocktail on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
